We are seeking an energetic candidate to join our team in the role of a Sr. Product Manager reporting to the Director of Business Development in the Digital Science Business Unit. As a Senior Product Manager, you will collaborate with divisional businesses, product management staff, and engineering to define the strategy and feature sets required to deliver the customer experience of the future across our digital ecosystem.
Bring new product features to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development initiatives; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering.
Defines, promotes, and owns Product Development team initiatives and deliverables to extend product and / or platform capabilities including, but not limited to, product requirements, specifications, and implementation; appraising new product ideas and/or product changes in relation to existing competitor products.
Determines customers' needs through external data gathering and analysis, conference attendance, pre-demo requirements gathering, meetings with customers, and collaboration with the Sales, Application Management and Customer Success teams
Autonomously prepares and executes complex enterprise product demonstrations (on-site and online) to current and potential customers.
Drives execution of time sensitive client RFI / RFP responses in combination with colleagues across the business including Sales, Application Management, and Customer Success.
Collaborate with colleagues in sales to provide technical information to potential customers during discovery calls and online meetings.
Conduct quarterly product advisory sessions in conjunction with customer success and application management to elicit feedback and ideas from the customer community.
Document and publish semi-annual product roadmaps detailing specific features requested from customers.
Work with Marketing to assess competition and document strengths and weaknesses by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
Provide source data for product features and requirements by defining product marketing communication objectives.
Skills & Qualifications
Self-starter who is highly collaborative, energized working in entrepreneurial culture, creative, and organized
Master’s degree in a natural science discipline or equivalent
Experience with Scientific Data Management software including Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN)
Experience within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, understanding of laboratory processes and methods
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform effectively under pressure
Willingness to travel
Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies and enterprise information management solutions and their benefits
Experience with SaaS and PaaS software architecture and delivery models
Experience with Java, SQL, and software coding is strongly preferred
