Job Description

Position Summary:

The Director, Pricing GPO is a commercial leadership role responsible for managing the processes and systems used to develop, implement and maintain pricing across the CMS commercial organization. The Director will manage the strategic pricing process in coordination with CMS Commercial leadership, CMS Product Line leadership and the Global Strategic Pricing organization. The position also provides leadership to the commercial organization relative to price management via discount structures and promotions. In addition, this role will work with global commercial operations and finance to coordinate pricing administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and guide several critical pricing processes including the annual price update, price development to support new product releases and product positioning.

  • Partner with the Global Strategic Pricing organization to identify, develop and execute industry leading pricing strategies.

  • Support the product line and commercial teams in developing solutions for product bundling, promotions and discounts.

  • Lead and drive transformational performance improvement in pricing, focused on increasing sales and EBITA.

  • Implement policies, systems and processes to effectively manage global price deployment.

  • Drive accountability and adherence to pricing policies and process across the organization.

  • Establish pricing / discounting analytics and reporting to support product line and commercial organizations.

  • Lead global initiatives designed to meet corporate and divisional pricing goals and objectives.

  • Provide pricing guidance for customer or program-specific pricing contracts.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (business, finance, scientific field, mathematics or operations preferred). An advanced degree in business preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of relative work experience.

  • Knowledge and experience with SAP, advanced Excel, SQL database queries and SalesForce.com preferred.

  • Ability to travel 20 – 40% (including international travel)

  • Knowledge and experience in implementing integrated systems and processes in a cross-functional operating environment.

  • Detail oriented, organized, and analytical and able to handle multiple projects at the same time. Must be able to accomplish detailed tasks, delegate accordingly and drive projects and activities to successful conclusion, operating with a high sense of urgency.
