Job Description

As a Project Manager within the Research and Development group, you will play a major role in both the development and launching of new products and technologies that shape scientific research around the world. You will have many responsibilities aimed at coordinating the different functions in R&D with other departments in the company to meet an aggressive launch schedule, on a monthly basis. Your efforts will ensure that our customers have timely access to our innovative products that enable research in immunology, oncology, and infectious disease. Primary Responsibilities

  • Document Management – Collect and assemble documents associated with new products, review for technical and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) completeness and accuracy, and then submit documentation for subsequent processing. Identify problematic sections of documentation and process change orders to continuously improve their accuracy and usability.

  • Material Resource Management – Work with Product Management and Planning departments to translate forecasts into materials required in R&D. Assume responsibility for sourcing and ordering the required materials to build and test new products.

  • Communication – Participate in and drive sections related to New Product Introductions (NPI) during weekly meetings with R&D as well as Operations and Portfolio Management. Clearly communicate statistics on progress and areas for concern by creating, updating, and presenting metrics to the team.

  • Process Improvement – The business is constantly evolving and seeking to streamline our processes according to Lean practices. You will be asked to continuously seek out and identify opportunities to improve efficiency in the current processes.

  • New Product Release Support – Champion and drive new products through the NPI release process. Coordinate the transfer of materials and their documentation for Testing, Bottling, and Release.

Job Dimensions

Enthusiastic and motivated team member with a passion for efficiency, organization, accuracy and strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools are essential. The ideal candidate will build internal relationships across a multidisciplinary team, so excellent communication skills (both written and oral) are crucial. Note that this is not a lab-based position, however the ideal candidate will have a background and previous lab experience of chemical or biological relevance.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

  • 3+ years of industrial experience. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in product development in a biotechnology industry.

  • Good Documentation Practices (GDP) experience is a plus.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
