Position Summary:

This Financial Analyst – FP&A Systems Developer is responsible for streamlining and improving a division's corporate reporting (EDW, CMR, Planning) processes. This includes history monitoring, month end processing and reconciliation, alignment across various reporting systems, and hierarchy alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uses developer skills to improve and automate processes relating to data integrity and reconciliations between reporting systems

  • Design and implementation of scripted processes, transforming manual analysis into automated processes

  • Implementation of data storage solutions

  • Understanding of design principles behind scalable processes

  • Develops strong knowledge of the division's product hierarchy structure and uses expertise to maintain the product hierarchy data integrity between financial reporting systems

  • Evaluates and maintains revenue and standard cost data in the EDW, Hyperion Planning and Corporate Management Reporting (CMR)

  • Partners with IT to ensure alignment and provide validation on systems updates

  • Creates and maintains a audit for master data changes in Hyperion Planning, EDW and CMR

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in analytical scripting (Python / R / JavaScript)

  • Bachelor in Computer Sciences

  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications

  • Understanding of data mining, systems and data architecture

  • Ability to create tools that automate and validates systems processes

  • Familiarity with event-driven programming

  • Understanding of impact and application for finance, accounting reporting systems

  • Writing reusable, testable and efficient code

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with Hyperion Planning, Cognos, ERP or similar systems are considered an advantage

  • Natural bias towards continuous process improvement
