Position Summary:

This dynamic Sr. Manager, Functional Reporting will be the reporting liaison between the FP&A and Financial Systems teams. This role will provide functional leadership across the organization based in the Carlsbad office. The Financial Reporting team works with global stakeholders in FP&A, Accounting, Projects, and Information Technology to drive quality financial management reporting to meet all business requirements and to integrate project and non-project related changes into management reporting appropriately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure P&L and Balance Sheet reporting is aligned between the LSG Divisions, Functions, Regions, and Financial Systems teams

  • Lead the monthly close reconciliation process between all systems (ERP, COGNOS, CMR, FDM, HFM, and Planning)

  • Drive process improvements (PPI) across the organization (both internally amongst the systems team as well as externally with the user community)

  • Support the AOP and restatement processes by ensuring that the financial system data and functionality are aligned with business needs

  • Collaborate with the Projects teams to ensure proper integration of project related changes into management reporting

  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place over reporting processes, systems, and data integrity

  • Provide relevant and functional specific trainings on a regular basis in order to elevate the FP&A user base

  • Develop team of 2-3 direct reports

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred but not required)

  • 7+ years of direct FP&A experience with management reporting systems

  • Experience with E1, SAP, HFM, FDM, Hyperion Planning, Cognos, or similar systems

  • Demonstrated experience in a large, multinational, heavily-matrixed organization

  • Excellent judgement and creative problem solving skills

  • Self-reliant, problem solver and results oriented

  • Experience with building and establishing effective teams

  • Customer-centric, focused on providing proactive systems solutions to drive business performance

  • Ability to effectively communicate and interface with senior management

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Natural bias towards continuous improvement
