Position Summary:

The Senior Inventory Coordinator is accountable for execution, and management of various activities related to materials and inventory control for materials, supplies, and equipment. Examples include: shipping and receiving processes, inventory movement and control, work order kitting and shortage fulfillment, cycle counting and physical inventory.

  • Adhere to shipping, receiving and regulatory compliance procedures and adhere to all governmental regulations

  • Arranges and coordinates shipping of products to customers and the return of materials to suppliers

  • Receives inventory using ERP system and physically moves inventory to established locations

  • Conducts daily spider web activities fulfilling Kanban throughout the production environment

  • Kits work orders, issues materials and delivers kitted work orders to production

  • Communicates directly with suppliers regarding shipments, deliveries or other inventory related issues

  • Conducts cycle counts and periodic physical inventory

  • Assists purchasing with order placing and verification, places Kanban signal to suppliers

  • Maintains housekeeping and 5S requirements for the shipping/receiving and inventory related areas

  • Attends daily stand up meetings and escalates issues and reports status

  • Rectify issues with shipments, inventory inaccuracies, or safety issue

  • Audits Kanban on regular basis

  • Participates in all continuous improvement and lean specific activities

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 3 years plus experience in shipping and receiving and inventory control or logistics

  • 3 years minimum working in a manufacturing environment

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs occasionally and typically less than 15lbs

  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office products

  • Must have proficient verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work occasional overtime as need to meet operational demands
