Job Description

What will you do?

  • Work with 3rd party tax company to complete quarterly VAT filing for Netherland holding entities

  • Review and work with global sites to resolve any intercompany AP/AR/loans discrepancies.

  • Perform various balance sheet account reconciliations.

  • Review and signing off on various account reconciliations and ensure that SOX control related to these holding entities

  • Submit various journal entries by working with Cognizant (outsourced service provider) accountants to submit them to Blackline,

  • Confirm various intercompany balances (AR/AP/loans)

  • Work with Cognizant to complete depreciation expense run for the month

  • Work with Cognizant to complete various holding entities SAP to Cognos financial submission

  • Work with treasury and tax and to submit necessary journal entries for all Corporate entities intercompany loans

  • Work with tax team to complete the Netherlands tax filing

  • Work with the Netherlands financial reporting team to complete the Netherlands financial reporting

  • Perform FX analysis for corporate entities and submit necessary adjusting entries

  • Support other projects as assigned

How will you get there?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field is required. CPA is preferred.

Experience

  • Four to six years of progressive experience in Accounting, Controls, Audit, or Finance roles.

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is not required but preferred.

Highly detail-oriented and organized, ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines, proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees, superior analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix environment and provide guidance, as necessary.

  • Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to set and successfully meet deadlines while working on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and various accounting software and programs (i.e SAP, Blackline, Cognos, etc).

  • Ability to navigate novel or non-recurring path-finding situations requiring the development of new concepts and imaginative approaches.
