How will you make an impact?

Under direct supervision of the Shift Manager, the Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible to drive and execute the production per plan safely, within quality, customer, and cost standards. Ensures all plant employees work safe and follow established safety rules and procedures. Responsible for ensuring adherence to quality systems/standards, rotation schedule, communication, and employee development. Audits/ensures Team Leads are following their standards. The position will reside in our Rochester, NY facility. SHIFT - Weekend Days shift (6:30am - 7:00pm)

What will you do?

  • Develop / support / coach Team Leads

  • Supports and maintains production standards

  • Write and administer PMD’s / PIP’s

  • Ensure employees follow company policies and responsible for disciplinary action and warnings

  • Manage shift-to-shift communications

  • Weekly payroll / PTO scheduling and recording

  • Develop a team environment to achieve daily production goals

  • Create shift production schedule

  • Responsible to assist in leading efforts to drive process continuous improvement as it relates to targeted metrics and lean manufacturing

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with ISO/GMP/FDA/class 7 requirements

  • Maintain quality system through following SOP’s and QWI’s

  • Ensure employees follow company safety rules and support 5S process

  • Resolve issues escalated by Team Leads

  • Complete containment and restore flow

  • Lot File reconciliation

How will you get here?


  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required

  • BS degree desired


  • 3-5 years’ experience supervising employees in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong people, team building, and conflict resolution skills

  • Lean manufacturing experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge in MS Office including Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Work experience under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing concepts and familiarization of FDA material regulations desired.

  • SMED experience supporting mold and process requirements another plus.

  • Excellent technical skills including demonstrated project management, organization and planning.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply problem solving methodology to understand root cause and implement solutions.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
