Thermo Fisher Scientific Director Product Management - BioProduction Cell Therapy in Frederick, Maryland
The Director of Cell Therapy will have responsibility for leading this important piece of the business and driving related strategic initiatives to ensure the future growth of the BioProdution division (BPD) as follows;
Build and manage the Cell Therapy business with P&L responsibility, including meeting or exceeding revenue and EBITDA targets.
Manage all aspects of business including managing product portfolio and overall product life cycle, driving demand through impactful sales and marketing campaigns, working with operational leaders to provide high quality products, evaluating new business opportunities with respect to technology or channel, and negotiating contracts with external partners.
Build a high performing business team by hiring, developing and engaging highly talented and motivated employees.
Build relationships and partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders within the Cell Therapy research community to drive longer term growth of the business.
Align cross-functional teams within the BioProduction division and across the company to business
Participate in site senior leadership team meetings and in strategic planning, including setting objectives and strategies as well as take accountability for implementation and results.
This leader will liaise extensively with the Cell Culture/Cell Therapy leadership team, business unit members and external partners to drive long term growth through accelerated and focused implementation of key strategic initiatives. He/She will collaborate with others as necessary across the company and will have responsibility for securing additional resources as required to meet project demands and timelines.
10+ years of experience in Cell Therapy or related Health Care/Life Sciences Field.
5+ years of people management and business leadership.
Deep understanding of the Cell Therapy Market and demonstrated ability to set strategic direction for new/high growth business.
Strong track record of proactively driving programs forward with a focus on financial results.
Demonstrated ability to drive growth through product innovation.
Ability to build, manage, and inspire teams.
Ability to work across matrixed environment; effective at influencing others and building relationships; collaborative approach. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to quickly to adjust to changes in the market as needed.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
MBA and/or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
Commercial experience preferred.
MS or PhD in life science research discipline beneficial
Experience working in regulated environment beneficial
