Location/Division Specific Information: Fremont, CA
The Circuit Analysis Application Engineer is responsible for making our customers successful in addressing systematic yield-limiting problems during electrical test through the employment of photon emission microscopy and laser-based applications on our Meridian and WaferScan platforms.
Duties and responsibilities

Application Development – Develop and implement new optical-based applications and workflows to address customer needs in every aspect related to circuit analysis tool usage.
Customer Satisfaction – Conduct training of tool use, operation principles, and applications. Provide long-term application support and maintain relationship to the customers.
Product Development – Understand and further develop customer requirements for system and applications. Feedback to our product marketing and engineering teams.
Factory & Service Support – Collaborate with product development and manufacturing to conduct factory and special acceptances prior to shipment. Assist the service team during system installation and own sign-off for system acceptance.
Presales Support – Support sales activities by being the technical partner and application specialist. Collaborate with sales and marketing to manage demos and evaluations. Provide evaluation report to sales and marketing teams.
Marketing Intelligence – Interact with customers in order to collect information and feedback to the marketing team about competitive information, system utilization, use cases, and customer requests.
Publications and Seminars – Publish application notes and technical papers. Present material at technical conferences.
BA/BS, MS, or PhD in science or engineering.
Specialized knowledge in electrical failure analysis, electrical test, chip design, physical failure analysis, wafer inspection, and metrology strongly desired.
Ability to quickly learn new technical concepts and exercise reasonable judgment.
Willing to work in a highly matrixed, global team environment and must be comfortable working across organizational, cultural and geographical boundaries. He or she must be resourceful, flexible, data-driven, and able to lead through influence.
Although the position is based in Fremont California, the Application Engineer will have to travel 20-40% within the US and abroad. Any candidate should be able to travel internationally with ease.
