Summary

The QAD Business / System Analyst provides both business and system QAD expertise to the organization ensuring the business needs are defined, documented and delivered though QAD capabilities. This role engages with all functions of the business unit including, but not limited to, finance, manufacturing, supply chain, planning, shipping, customer service and compliance.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, self-driven and have the expertise necessary to partner with the business to deliver key foundational and transformational capabilities which will help drive business success. The needed expertise will be a blend of business knowledge and acumen along with QAD technical abilities to deliver.

This role will be engaged in the monitoring, management, optimization and deployment of QAD capabilities including tasks necessary to support version and environment updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, define and document the QAD business needs and requirements, providing options and recommendations for solutions

  • Critically evaluate information, reconcile conflicts and distinguish user requests from nderlying needs

  • Poactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements

  • Drive and challenge business units on assumptions of how to successfully execute their plans

  • Act as a point of contact for local resources that need support on processes or systems

  • Develop and deploy QAD capabilities to meet business needs

  • Communicate and collaborate with users to analyze information needs and functional requirements

  • Liaise with the business to enhance existing and develop new functionality within the QAD system

  • Train users on how to utilize the tools available and make process improvements, minimizing the need for system changes or development where applicable

  • Serve as internal project manager for short term projects

  • Supports the uptime and availability of the QAD application

  • Provide the necessary operational and analytical reporting of QAD data, including various internal/external integrations including the Data Warehouse and EDI

  • Facilitate governance and management of QAD changes, enhancements and upgrades with business owners and SME’s

  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Comply with company’s Global IT Policies & Procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years experience with core QAD capabilities in finance, manufacturing, supply chain, planning, shipping and/or customer service

  • 3+ years experience working in a manufacturing facility (GMP knowledge)

  • Experience with Business Process Modeling methodologies and practices

  • Demonstrates self-discipline and motivation in all aspects of job performance

  • Able to complete assignment with minimal direction (self-starter)

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into clear business requirements and QAD capabilities

  • Must be able to work in a high-pressure team environment, handle multiple tasks and react quickly to networking problems and issues

  • Maintains excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of partners (executives, managers, subject matter experts, etc.)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office technologies

  • Experience with development life cycle methodologies including waterfall and Agile development preferred

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Experience in a regulated environment and related standards and regulations (ISO, EU, FDA, etc.)

  • Relevant QAD certifications

  • Experience with Master Data Management methodologies and tools

  • Experience with project/capability governance methodologies

  • A3 Problem Thinking

  • Lean Methodologies
