How will you make an impact?

The Scientist III within Technical Operations will provide support and technical solutions to solve manufacturing issues for the MAS and Molecular Controls product lines. This person will work cross-functionally to lead issue resolution and/or re-engineer processes/methods while being hands-on within a lab environment.

What will you do?

  • Lead and resolve complex technical issues involving QC materials for in-vitro diagnostics.

  • Conduct and lead deep-dive root cause investigations related to chemistry, immunochemistry, nucleic acid detection (DNA and RNA), or antibody-based detection technologies.

  • Provide independent technical support and decision making for methods with complexity.

  • Implement robust procedures while providing technical training.

  • Lead large cross-functional projects aimed at quality improvement, efficiency, and/or cost savings.

  • Communicate executive summaries to peers and management in a timely fashion.

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Bioengineering or a related Life Science discipline with a minimum of 5 years direct related experience. Master's or PhD is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, problem solving skills, collaboration with other departments, and ability to manage multiple projects or assignments.

  • Ability to present and communicate (oral and written) information in a clear manner.

  • Ability to multi-task and lead a team, often designated as a substitute for the manager

  • Strong proficiency with Word and Excel.

  • Experience working with Design of Experiment (DOE) and process capability preferred.

  • Experience in preparing manufacturing documents including SOPs, specification sheets, and worksheets.

  • Experience in Manufacturing, Product Transfer or Product Support functions.
