Job Summary:

To provide laboratory testing support to meet the business objectives

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop performance plans and conduct appraisal reviews for all supervisors, quarterly and annually.

  • Select, negotiate contracts, and employ external contractors and consultants to assist staff and maintain systems and networks.

  • Ensure resources are scheduled and deployed so that assigned projects are completed on schedule by overseeing activities.

  • Establish objectives for work assigned and monitor results to ensure that objectives are met in a timely and cost effective manner.

  • Evaluate personnel performance against objectives, coach, and establish training plans to improve performance and provide for future technological needs.

  • Develop strategies and plans for providing overall direction to assigned programs and systems in compliance with SOP’s, GAP’s, cGMP’s and other.

  • Assign specific projects to engineers and monitor progress.

  • Responsible for the development of an annual and strategic plan for manufacturing automation systems, including associated resource requirements and expense and capital budgets for each business area.

  • Plan, organize, manage and control the development and support of network and distributed control systems services provided to Production or to other Company Units.

  • Build and maintain cooperative relations with all departments in Greenville to ensure the efficient and successful implementation and acceptance of assigned projects and activities.

  • Ensure that all customer departments are kept informed of the progress and status of all projects assigned.

  • Establish, manage, monitor, and control operation and security of distributed control and network systems.

  • Design and implement administrative systems to efficiently control the functions of the Manufacturing Automation Systems.

  • Maintain all areas of responsibility in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.

  • Ensure staff performs work in compliance with procedures and with the required safety equipment.

  • Make decisions and sets allocations for headcount, budgets, and equipment in support of company objectives. Ensures optimum utilization of resources and attainment of customer service levels.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biological science, chemistry, engineering or related field.

  • Ten years of engineering experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

  • Strong Project Management Experience

  • Good knowledge of sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing, control systems, technology, validation practices/processes, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

  • Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to drive functional, technical and operational excellence.

  • Ability to inspire and foster innovation, collaboration, transparency and team effectiveness.
