Job Description


Manages the training program and development activities of the area employees in a way that promotes achievement of DPI’s key results.

Essential Functions:

Directs conduct and/or coordinates training programs and facilitate department, area, job-specific or introductory safety and environmental training classes. Designs teaching methods.

Interprets regulatory training requirements and integrates teaching methods to meet these requirements. Acts as key training contact and subject matter expert for regulatory and customer audits.

Provides consulting services to customers for development of programs to address special education needs.

Works with individual client groups to identify needs (needs analyses). Solicits input from employees, supervisors, and managers regarding training and initiate appropriate actions.

Assists functional groups with develop/maintenance of training curriculums with regard to requirements.

Ensures documentation of training complies with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), GAP’s, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP’s), safety and regulatory requirements of federal agencies, etc.

Participates in and lead departmental and interdepartmental teams to meet area training needs and ensure consistency across the site and company.

Identifies training needs and develop training programs.

Serves as course developer, reviewer and approver for area training packages and training SOP’s.

Works in a safe and responsible manner in order to create an injury-free and incident-free workplace.

Complies with all job-related safety and other training requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned.


Bachelor’s degree is preferred.


Three years of expereience in production related GMP or technical related training is preferred.

Equivalency :

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.


Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to prioritize and be self-directed. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously. Ablility to coordinate complex training events. Posseses analytical ability to gather, summarize, and present data. Ability to plan and execute all phases of work with some management. Influences technical aspects of projects and negotiates detail with some management guidance. Self-Motivated, Organized, professional, outgoing, and expressive individual able to work well with others. Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills. Self-starter, mature, independent and dependable. Ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure, able to multi-task and is results-oriented. Effective time management and prioritization skills. Requires discretion and independent judgment. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
