As the G&A Finance Business Partner, you will develop analysis and insights to help business partners understand key performance and provide recommendations to shape investment decisions. This includes G&A functions, primarily Information Technology (IT), Marketing, HR, Legal and Finance.
Finance Business partner to functional leaders within the Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD)
Elevate the level of financial analysis and lead global finance teams in preparation, analysis and presentation of financials during MSD business reviews. Be a key partner to work across a matrix environment to drive clarity on results and problem solving
Drive clear and consistent management reporting across MSD, clarifying account definitions/usage as needed within the business, and driving timeliness and accuracy of reporting
Partner with local leads to identify root cause and countermeasures for variances; establish quarterly/annual expense and capital spending forecasts for leadership
Develop/administer approval matrix and Appropriation Request rules for Information Technology projects
Manage and track large projects including coordination with across divisions, groups and with Corporate. Partner with business leaders to ensure cost allocations, budgeting and forecasting are understood and aligned. Lead the coordination of project deliverables, reporting and be a vocal participant in project reviews
Facilitate financial discussions, drive dialogue and actions with leaders
Lead monthly and quarterly reporting process as well as development of annual operating plan to include:
Plan, communicate and manage a structured cadence of reviews to engage MSD Functional leaders and drive accountability to financial results
Clear visibility around spending and understanding of performance
Target setting, investment acceleration and/or contingency planning, as needed, to support business and financial goals
Preparation and presentation of monthly forecasts
Ad hoc analysis and discussion around key spending accounts, as needed, based on business performance
Work with Corporate IT Finance to understand Corporate IT allocations and drive transparency around shared services. Ensure alignment around business funded versus Corporate funded initiatives
Support Corporate wide IT Finance initiatives, projects and take a leadership role in IT Finance community
Support broader MSD Financial Planning and Analysis including:
Ad hoc analysis, consolidations, reporting, project engagement, and other tasks as needed in support of Division requirements and initiatives
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
7+ Years of experience in a Finance role
5+ Years of experience managing the financials of complex / large projects with a high level of activity
Working knowledge of EPM and Essbase
Excellent computer skills in MS Office – Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
Superior quantitative and analytical capabilities with Advanced Excel
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with a sense of urgency
