The Transplant Diagnostics (TDX) business (also known as One Lambda) is the worldwide leader in HLA typing and antibody detection assays and is known for its commitment to quality, service, and innovation. Founded in 1984 by Dr. Paul Teraski, a pre-eminent researcher in the field of transplantation, One Lambda is a pioneer in transplant diagnostics. One Lambda’s tests are used by transplant centers for tissue typing, primarily to determine the compatibility of donors and recipients pre-transplant, and to detect the presence of antibodies that can lead to transplant rejection.
How will you make an impact?
We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Business Development - Molecular Microscope to increase market share and generate revenue and expand into new markets with our antibody and molecular microscope product lines.
The Molecular Microscope focuses on centralized molecular analysis using microarrays to measure mRNA levels followed by automated analysis routines for interpreting results. This will provide the clinician with objective measurements to guide patient management. This technology will be focused on serving customers around the world to assist clinicians in assessing rejection and injury in troubled transplants.

The person in this role may be remotely based anywhere within the United States. Travel expectation is between 50-75%, including both domestic and international.
What will you do?
Drive the achievement of sales targets, market expansion of the molecular microscope.
Provide strategic vision and direction to the commercial marketing team to include commercial marketing plans, sales support tools, market pricing and customer development activities.
Review and prioritize requests with Director of Marketing and Sr. Director, Commercial Operations from outside organizations for sponsorship, ensuring such requests meet company objectives and regulatory compliance.
Provides Marketing Team with current antibody content/data in order to update antibody collaterals such as MMDX Brochure, AMR Booklet, etc.
Provides support and guidance to marketing and MMDX Product Manager(s) to better understand market trends and align with activities for growth opportunities.
Encourage a team environments with open communication to improve skills and communications of commercial team. Promote a culture of growth and development centered on achieving optimal service, both internally and externally.
Establish a positive working environment and actively communicate market assessments, sales and marketing needs, sales funnels and overall support of commercial sales and marketing teams in a clear, concise and timely manner.
Continually develop sales practices to ensure the highest levels of quality, access, efficiency and service. Develop metrics in conjunction with Director, Sr. Commercial Operations to monitor and improve performance.
Manage, review and analyze personal and business performance on a monthly basis, including targeted goals, productivity, and operations.
Develop fiscal year annual operating budget for submission to the Sr. Director, Commercial Operations.
Partner with Senior Leadership and other Departments/Divisions to develop new program business plans and actively manage clinical studies internally, with channel partners and directly with customers.
Work closely with the commercial and marketing teams in providing market and customer intelligence for developing and executing the long-term strategic business plans
Travel to global, national and regional customer sites, meetings, and workshops as required.
Ensure compliance within the marketing events, customer programs and daily sales activities.
How will you get here?
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or a related field required
MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred
At least five (5) years of experience in an HLA, pathology, histology or similar field
Experience and knowledge of molecular diagnostic assay technology
An understanding of commercial strategy, clinical market expansion, health economics and reimbursement coding
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong presentation, analytical and customer service skills complimented by a solutions-oriented track record
Ability to gather data on competitors and analyze market conditions
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to comprehend, utilize and communicate technical information
Detail oriented and independent with a sense of urgency
