Job Description

Position Summary: Inventory Coordinator

  • Responsible for cycle count activities for both inventory control and distribution teams.

  • Resolve inventory errors by investigating transaction history

  • Delegates or physically performs all cycle re-counts in Middletown and prepare cycle count reports.

  • Create and publish monthly reports which shall include calculations of accuracy as well as quantitative list of inventory correction transactions.

  • Ensure that inventory is maintained, measured and transacted accurately.

  • Provide pro-active notification to the Senior Distribution and Transportation Manager when significant errors are found.

  • Ensure waste and scrap count are accurate.

  • Maintain and report departmental metrics.

  • Ensure SOPs are followed with regard to both cycle counting and inventory transactions.

  • Provide process improvement ideas to streamline operations and improve efficiencies.

  • Support departmental budgetary initiatives.

  • Performs other duties and special assignments as required.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or licensure/certification with 5 years of experience in a Warehousing/Distribution/Customer Service environment, preferably in a Diagnostics company.

  • Preferred education and experience is A.S. in Logistics or Business Management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Warehouse environment

  • Position may require frequent communication and walking to other areas in which designated PPE will be required.

  • Position will require sitting and standing.

  • Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

  • Maybe required to use power equipment, such as tow motor and stock picker, which requires wearing a safety harness.

  • Could include time in -30 degree freezer.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • ERP proficient [SAP or Oracle preferred]

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and functions.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in PC skills – Outlook and Excel.

  • Ability to read and understand inventory reports.
