Thermo Fisher Scientific Office Administrator in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
What will you do?
Oversee/perform a range of diverse administrative activities for site.
Welcome guests to the Thermo Fisher facilities at 20 Post & 6 Post Road.
Serve as point person for safety of visitors including responsibility for security badges, confidentiality agreements and other duties as needed.
Provide administrative support to Manufacturing, Customer Service, Procurement, Logistics, Safety & Quality as needed, to include call management, mail services, office supply/equipment support and event coordination.
Document control support to include filing storage for both on and off-site records as well as electronic quality management.
Oversee plant-wide communications to include electronic signage and social media.

Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Project Management skills preferred
Ability to develop and maintain record keeping systems and procedures
Must be detail oriented, thorough, self-motivated, team oriented and customer service driven.
Must have an ability to communicate effectively with individuals of varying knowledge levels and demonstrate courtesy and tact when dealing with employees or outside vendors.
Extensive interpersonal communications are essential; must have an ability to exercise significant patience, understanding, empathy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
Excellent oral/written communication skills and exceptional organizational skills (English)
High degree of professionalism required
Strong organizational and time management skills required
Intermediate MS Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.) and typing proficiency
A.S. in Business or Office Management or equal work related experience
Prior experience as an Office Administrator or Receptionist strongly preferred
