SUMMARY:

A Business Analyst conducts research, monitors, maintains, and optimizes business solutions.

Knowledge of business processes and SAP within production planning and materials management area of a sophisticated equipment manufacturing business, Directly support users, researches gaps in functionality, gathers requirements of users and presents recommendations to teams both technical and business.

Excellent grasp of industry and subject matter best practices, trends, and concepts. Ability to apply these concepts into the SAP environment and business process. Strong Leadership skills, especially in the handling of Organization Change Management are strongly desired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supports SAP ECC and related software

  • System monitoring and user management related activities

  • Work with business units and process experts to resolve MM/PP issue

  • Work on Incidents, Requests, Demands initiated in our helpdesk system

  • Participate in Projects and Initiatives across multiple functional areas and regions as a MM/PP Senior BA

  • Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control process change in conjunction with the business SME’s

  • Drive best practice with business process experts in defining standard operating procedures, process flows and related documentation

  • Good understanding of SAP product lifecycle management

  • Good understanding of SAP production planning MRP, ATP, AOP.

  • Good understanding of SAP Materials management, inventory control, procurement

  • Good understanding of SAP Master Data Management

  • Knowledge of SAP Reporting capabilities, Business Objects is an advantage

  • Develops process documentation for processes and procedures

  • Prepare and execute test plans for new functionality

  • Gather user requirements to develop solutions and alternatives

  • Lead where change management is required.

  • Develop training outlines for end-users

  • Liaise between the business, technology teams and support teams

  • Maintain security in compliance with Thermo Fisher Security directives.

  • Ensure compliance to Thermo Fisher Global IT Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.

  • Proficient project management skills, utilizing recognized methodologies and frameworks

  • Travel can range from 25%-50%

  • Translate high-level information into details as well as summarize detailed information

  • Other duties as assigned

We look for:

  • Multiple years of experience in SAP in the MM/PP area with MDM experience

  • 3-7years of business experience in functional area

  • 2-4 years of SAP experience

  • 4 year degree or 5-7 years’ experience in related area

  • Relevant Process industry recognized technical certificates a plus

  • Specific knowledge in SAP production planning and MRP

  • Excellent Knowledge of Materials Management techniques, methods, and tools. Subject matter best practices

  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills

  • Ability to understand and investigate topics related to multiple business areas

  • Analytically minded and methodical problem solver

  • Very good interpersonal skills with excellent customer service and “can do “ mentality

  • Process orientation and user satisfaction attitude

  • Able to efficiently prioritize work and timely inform stakeholders on the progress

  • Experience working within a multi-cultural environment

  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently.

  • Strong written and communication skills
