Sr. Business Analyst – Commercial Applications

The Sr. Business Analyst position will be a member of the CCG IT Global Platforms team supporting our global Customer Service initiatives. In accordance with the company’s strategic objectives the Candidate will lead and participate collaboratively with business partners and IT project delivery functions in the definition and design of optimized business processes enabled through the incorporation of CRM technology solutions.

Candidate will be challenged to leverage strong business acumen to develop and maintain credibility and effective working relations with both business and IT teams in a way that demonstrates an understanding of business opportunities, IT strategies, issues, and priorities. Additionally a key responsibility is to maintain awareness of technology trends across industries in specific functional disciplines and leverage this knowledge to identify innovative solution alternatives.

Candidate will participate in the definition of specific IT projects to support business/function plans and processes, leverage the companies PPI process improvement methodology and facilitate priority-setting with both IT and Business teams. Responsibilities also include interacting with IT delivery functions to assist in issue resolution and to remain apprised of project status keeping all affected business parties well informed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elicit requirements through brainstorming sessions, interviewing business partners, observing business partners in their day to day role, and requirements gathering sessions. Guide business users to evaluate their processes in a detailed manner to capture all aspects affected by the project.

  • Partnering with IT delivery functions throughout the project delivery lifecycle to ensure all project goals and objectives are met, gathering, driving and documenting stakeholder requirements and product vision through the planning, analysis, development and testing phases.

  • Translating stakeholder requirements into various documentation deliverables such as functional specifications, use cases, workflow/process diagrams

  • Analyzing business processes and systems, identifying inefficiencies and/or required functional enhancements, and documenting business processes and procedures

  • Translating business needs into clear requirements that will enable the design of flexible solutions to enable business strategies and align with IT architecture direction

  • Providing deep functional expertise of system capabilities

  • Articulating functionality of systems to business and IT teams at various levels

  • Providing inputs to testing plans for product and user acceptance test phases and create test scenarios for both phases

  • Facilitate user acceptance testing

  • Responsible for user stories and/or use cases

  • Works closely, and foster good working relationships with the business

  • For smaller projects working closely with IT delivery teams to lead the execution of IT projects. Define Stakeholder roles, responsibilities, develop and manage the project plan, issues and risks and assume authority over the requirements of the project. Coordinate and schedule critical meetings for project execution with business owners and IT stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of experience in IT solution delivery team or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience working with Portfolio Managers, Commercial Operations and Technology Delivery teams

  • Familiarity with leading vendors supporting various information technology initiatives and/or experience implementing Customer Relationship Management solutions

  • Experience developing business process models, data mapping and analysis, workflow diagrams

  • Broad technical aptitude and knowledge specifically in CRM technologies. Experience with Salesforce.com, IBM Incentive Compensation Module (ICM), Verint, Genesys, and Avaya would be a plus

  • Good project management and delivery skills

  • Excellent communicator and structured thinker

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT solution delivery team and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education

  • Experience working with Portfolio Managers, Commercial Operations and Technology Delivery teams

  • Broad technical aptitude

  • Good project management and delivery skills

  • Excellent communicator and structured thinker
