How Will You Make an Impact?

As a member of the Global Supplier Quality organization, the Senior Manager, Supplier Performance Management will establish and lead the Supplier Performance Management organization focused on identifying and mitigating sourcing risks inherent in the Supply Chain, and resolving escalated supplier deviations that result in disruptions to the manufacturing network. Will develop a high performing organization that can quickly react to changes in the supply chain, changes in regulations, and changes to the manufacturing processes. Direct reports will be located throughout the world (North America, Europe and China).

What will you do?

  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a data driven Supplier Management program that focuses on identifying and mitigating risk across the direct material supply chain.

  • Responsible for the coordination, oversight and communication on matters related to the cGMP status with the suppliers.

  • Lead the activities related to problematic suppliers and the internal PSG network.

  • Travel to and from supplier locations to resolve escalated Manufacturing, Quality, Technical and supply issues and investigations, as well as facilitate overall Quality improvements to proactively prevent supplier issues.

  • Utilize enhanced problem-solving skills (six sigma) to determine true root cause and to develop and implement irreversible corrective actions.

  • Coordinate, communicate and oversee general technical matters pertaining to suppliers, including understanding and optimizing component / material usage and upskilling suppliers to provide improved materials and services.

  • Provide efficient and effective solutions and CAPA management for escalated supplier issues.

  • Provide supplier investigation ownership related to escalated supplier complaints

  • Responsible for communicating escalated issue to the Quality Leadership Team

  • Participate in periodic business and relationship review meetings with problematic suppliers.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact to PSG sites and suppliers in the region.

  • Ability to travel up to 35% on an annual basis

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required in Chemistry, Engineering, Microbiology, or Biology is preferred

Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a GMP environment, in any of the following industries: Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, OTC Drug, Cosmetic and/or Food and Dietary Supplements, is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing similar teams within Procurement and/or Quality.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead an organization (>8 people)

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills

  • Must understand worldwide regulatory requirements and cGMPs.

  • Strong technical writing, data management, collection, and analysis

  • Experience in CAPA management systems (i.e. TrackWise)

  • Experience in a matrix organization

  • Ability to develop and / or improve supplier relationships

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred

  • Knowledge of cGMPs, technical writing, data management, collection, and analysis

  • Ability to develop and / or improve commercial relationships

  • Proven self-starter that works well independently and within team settings

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work within a team as well as independently.
