How You Will Make an Impact
In this important, and visible role, you will have the opportunity to successfully execute, and deploy the Continuous Improvement Business System strategy action items, and challenge organizational leaders to cultivate an action-based culture of continuous improvement, and accountability to improve key metrics. This includes radically intensifying the customer experience, delivering profitable growth (organic growth, reduced costs, increasing cash velocity), and building/developing the best teams!
What You Will Do
Improve factory footprint utilization.
Accelerate low cost manufacturing, and distribution capability.
Drive customer focused improvements in the Customer Service, Technical Service, and Sales functions resulting in improved Customer Allegiance Scores (CAS).
Improve the process to identify, develop, teach/coach, and upgrade Operations Talent.
Accelerate productivity/efficiency throughout the value stream (supplier to Thermo Fisher Scientific to customer).
Optimize Thermo Fisher Scientific Transportation and Logistics capabilities.
Support R&D with time to market and manufacturability.
Provide coaching to facility leadership and representatives to develop their Lean expertise over time, ultimately moving the critical sites to self-sufficiency.
Work closely with business leadership and PPI steering committees to identify ways to accelerate the culture change necessary to support the PPI Business System.
Identify best practices within the company, and outside of Thermo Fisher Scientific, and serve as a conduit for best-practice sharing.
Partner with other Site PPI Business System Managers to manage, and support cross-Site improvement activity.
How You Will Get Here
Experience as a Lean Expert with significant, hands-on track record of implementing successful business systems.
Experience in value-stream mapping, and follow-up transformation using kaizen.
Experience with 3P (Production Preparation Process) to optimize layout and product design.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence senior leadership, along with all levels of the organization.
Passion for driving business improvement and leading change in a large, complex, global environment.
Broad knowledge of multi-functional, multi-site, global organizational processes and financial business methods (SIOP, Customer Connections, Strategic Sourcing, etc.)
Proven track record for developing, training, and coaching employee teams in a continuous improvement environment.
Bachelors degree in engineering, science, operations or business.
